June 2016

On June 3rd you texted me saying "Thank you so much for taking is to Seattle
I'm so excited".

Your mother posted this on Face Book on June 10th:

Anxiously awaiting Drew to open his door. My baby is 11 today! Zack thought it would crack Drew up if we used Frozen balloons that say "sisters forever"...... Bahahahaaaaa.

Beautiful day on the lake!  June 18th.

On June 24th I picked you and your brother up so you could stay with me and Mr. Bob for the weekend.  Uncle Jeffrey is coming over in the afternoon to spend the night & Saturday night.  He will be leaving Sunday for Niagara Falls, NY where he will be living.  No more California.

Uncle Jeffrey went to have dinner with Uncle Bruce and I made pasta and garlic knots for you and your brother.

The next morning you wanted to make pancakes for Uncle Jeffrey.

You, me and Uncle Jeffrey played a couple of games of Wii bowling.  you won.

Then you wanted to make toffee for Uncle Bruce and Uncle Jeffrey.  The brown sugar was hard and you tried to break it up.  That didn't work so we put it in the microwave with a wet paper towel.
That helped a little. You found a recipe that used white sugar and we made that one.

At 2:30 in the morning your brother came in our bedroom to wake me up.  He had a stomach ache and wanted to go home.  Actually I think he was just homesick.  Your mother came to pick him up at about 6:30.  Then I went back to bed.

This is you sleeping.

Sunday morning this is what I found in the Family Room.

I asked you to brush your teeth and that I had set out your brush, tooth paste and a comb. (Later I found your tooth brush, etc. unused.)
During a conversation with Mr. Bob, you and Uncle Jeffrey you used a work incorrectly and we all laughed.  You said resurrection vs. resuscitate.

Uncle Jeffrey left and you and I went out for brunch at the Local Bistro. You pushed on the table and spilled my mimosa on me.  I called it a mimosa shower.

Then we went to watch Dory movie at SMG.  Then I took you home.

Do not underestimate the feeling of cracking an egg on your "lippy" tween's head! Sometimes you gotta' get cray!
