On Saturday the 5th your father tested me this photo.  You must have been about 18months old.

 

Apparently he was going thru some boxes and came across it. 

 

Well it's December and  the Tantillo clan will be arriving on Thursday the 10th.

Got this beautiful Christmas Cactus at Fry's.  I just love it.  I haven't had one in a long time.

 

On Friday the 13th your Aunt Angela had a "Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest".

  I opened my gift from you and your family.  A hot towel rack.  Great!  You put it together for me.

 

 

Then we made ice cream in Mr. Bob's ice cream maker I got him for Christmas.

Making the vanilla was easy, but when it came to making chocolate ice cream it was a little difficult.  Mr. Bob messed up with the cocoa.  So Andrew and I went to AJ's to pick up a couple of things we needed to finish making the chocolate ice cream.  

 

When we were done, we took a sample over to Mr. Ron.

 

I showed you and your brother how to use the new can opener we had.  We planned on going to Bed Bath & Beyond to get one for your mother for Christmas.

 

You and your brother picked the shot glasses you want when I die and you put your initials on them.

 

I tucked you two into bed later and I went to bed.  About 3:00 you father called to tell me that Andrew was sick.  I checked on him and got a blanket for him and I to sit in my recliner.  You mother came to get both of you a little later.  Unfortunately, we never made it o Bed Bath and Beyond.

November 2015

Andrew had a band concert and I came over to your house.  You were talking a little nasty to your mother and she said she would wash your mouth out with soap, like her mother did to her.    So, she put a "little soap" on a paper towel and rubbed it on you tongue. 

 

 

That wasn't soo bad so she said she was going to use balsamic vinegar.  You said OK.

 

 

 

You took a swig and swished it around in your mouth and then almost threw up!  In the mean time your mother and I were laughing like crazy behind your back.  You didn't throw up, but you were on the verge.

 

 

Then we went to Andrew's band concert.

 

 

 

 

When I got home this is what I found.  Mr. Bob fell in the pool putting the cover on and hit his head and scraped his arm.  He could have drowned.  I told him to wait for me, but no he had to try to do it himself.  This is the result. 

 

You and your brother were going to come over on

Sunday the 22ndto go swimming with Jaiden, Alysa, Courtney and Wesley, but Andrew got sick.  See you on Thanksgiving.

It's not Thanksgiving in AZ without a little swimming and golf!

 

 

 

When you guys arrived for Thanksgiving dinner, your mother told the story about when you were 5 years old she bought you a Christmas book and it had a recording device in it.  The book asked  you what you would name your reindeer and you said "Mr. Sockneger ( or something like that).  Andrew was asked to name his reindeer and he said Michael Jordan.

 

Well you guys found the book and listened to it last week.  Your mother asked who is Mr. Sockneger?  Andrew answered "That's Mr. Bob.  You mother thought it was funny and it never occurred to her that you meant Mr. Bob Schoenbachler 7 years ago.

 

 

I then took you guys for a ride in Mr. Bob's new Porsche.  Both of you loved it and I went really fast and you were pushed back into your seats.

 

 

 

After dinner, we had a golfing contest.  Adults:  Guys against the girls.  I had a total score of 23 and Uncle Bruce had a 26.  On the front 5 I shot a 9.  (I had two hole in one.) Then the kids played.  Alyssa did not want to play so Courtney one by default.  Zachary finished in first place with a total of 25 and won $5.00  

 

 

Bob's two daughters and their families left on Friday.  Saturday, Mr. Bob and I met your father at the Metro Parking to get you and your brother for a sleep over.  We went for lunch at BJ's.  While there, we talked about the 50th BD party next August.  You said you'd fly and Andrew said he'd fly, but we'll just have to wait and see.

 

 

You didn't want to go to the movies, so we watched a movie at home. Uncle Bruce came over to put up our Christmas tree.  You and your brother later watched The Walking Dead and played on the

Wii.

 

We went to church and then to The Local Bistro for brunch.  You had pancakes.  We sat out on the patio.

 

 

 

 

 

In the car Mr. Bob was playing a CD and asked if you guys knew what type of singing they were doing.  You didn't know, but Andrew did.  Singing without any musical instruments is called A Cappella.

 

Your aunts and uncles, plus your grandfather will be arriving next Thursday, December 10th.  In essence, the whole  Tantillo clan except for Matthew.

 

You are concerned about meeting them.  You don't know them but you will.

On Friday, October the 2nd we all went to our annual family dBacks game.  They lost to the Astros 5-21.  We left early.  You really didn't want to go to the game.  Puberty......

Mr. Bob and I are in Niagara Falls for Marcus & Danielle's wedding on Saturday October 17th.


 Thursday night we went to Honey's in Niagara Falls for a bite to eat.

 

Friday night was the wedding rehearsal dinner at the Pearl Street Bar & Grill in downtown Buffalo.

Sunday night at Casa Antica, In Lewiston NY to celebrate my 71st BD.  On the left is me, Uncle Jeffrey,Danielle, Marcus and Mr. Bob.  On the right isUncle Bruce, Aunt Angela, Uncle Rico, Aunt Kim (my brother's wife) and my brother, Uncle Ted.

 

My brother and his wife had to leave early.  I went down to the end of the table to visit and all of a sudden I had a cake in front of me.

 

 

On Saturday, October 24th your father brought you and your brother over to see me and Mr. Bob.

 

 I showed you the bed we just got for my office. The cabinet opens up and turns into a queen bed.  You and your brother loved it.  Folding it back up you two got behind the mattress.

 

I made rolls for you and your brother.

 

The three of us played Wii in my bedroom and we were talking about you wanting to come over to spend the night.  You wanted to come on Friday the 30th, but I had already committed to helping some of the women from church at Save The Family shelter in Phoenix.  I explained that we were holding a fall themed event for children living there.  These children have virtually nothing where as you and your brother have almost everything.  It is so important that you learn to give back.  You said you wanted to go to help.  Then your brother said he wanted to go too.  I had to call the person in charge to get approval.  She said yes!  Your father said no.  Andrew said that your mother makes the decisions so I emailed her the information about Save the Family and she responded by saying

 "I think that's awesome!   Thank you for taking them.".  So, I am meeting you guys at the Tempe Mall so I can pick you two up and go to the shelter on Friday after you go to Children's Hospital  where you saw a doctor about.....?????


We arrived at Save The Family and Tami, the Director, had you put water in the fridge.  Please remember "IT'S ALL ABOUT GIVING BACK!!!"

After the adult volunteers served dinner for the families and cleaned up, we left.  You did not like the food that was being served so I had to take you out to dinner.  It was a Friday night and BJ's was packed.  I thought there was a Chick File' near my house, but it was a Jack in the Box, so we went to Rosati's for chicken wings and pizza.  Then home.

Here you guys are all tucked in your bed.

 

You did great sleeping  in my office all night.  I mentioned that a Denny's had just opened on Scottsdale Road and Mayo Blvd. and you wanted to go there for breakfast.  I asked Mr. Bob if he wanted to join us and he said yes.  You and your brother ordered a Christmas shake.  Total calories were something like 1500.  I try to eat only about 1200 calories for a full day.  You two left with Mr. Bob and I stayed to wait in line to pay the bill since I had a 20% discount coupon on my phone.  We got into the truck and I noticed that Mr. Bob was in the wrong lane and asked him where we were going.  He said to the Promenade and I asked why.  You two in the back said we were going to Cracker Jax's to play miniature golf.
